Department of Paediatric Oncology

Overview

Paediatric Oncology is a super-specialty division of the Department of Medical Oncology. It deals with all the cancers and related diseases in the children (age ≤ 18yrs). At Shriram cancer Centre, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur, we see approximately 500 new childhood cancer cases. 

The following are common the Paediatric cancers -

Common Childhood cancers:

Wilms’ tumor and other Kidney tumors
Neuroblastoma
Bone tumors (Ewing sarcoma and Osteosarcoma)
Sarcoma (Soft tissue sarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, Synovial sarcoma)
Germ cell tumors (Testicular & Ovarian)
Liver tumors
Retinoblastoma (Eye tumor)
Brain tumors

  • We are regularly organizing community camps for early diagnosis. & consultation including follow ups.
  • We are organizing awareness lectures, talks for families of childhood cancer patients.
  • Financial support for selected needy patients.
