Overview
We have a well-developed and well equipped department of Gastroenterology at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, established in 2016. The department constitutes 3 faculty members and 9 residents (3/year) with OPD/ IPD/ ICU and endoscopy facilities. We have a dedicated teaching and training programme for our residents in clinical skills and endoscopic procedure.
- We have a successfully running DM Gastroenterology programme with 3 MCI/ NMC recognized seats. We have published more than 15 papers in national and international journals in last 6 years.
- We have done thousands of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures with great success including pancreatic endotherapy, endoscopic cysto-gastrostomy, stenting in complex hilar strictures, metallic - biliary, oesophageal and antro-duodenal stenting.
- We have recently received Best Gastroenterology and Hepatology Services award at Healthcare Leaders Summit 2022 by Economic times at New Delhi.
