Overview
Endocrine and Breast Surgery is a fairly new subspecialty dealing with Breast disorders and Endocrine disorders. Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in the year 2019 became the first Institute to start this department in the entire state of Rajasthan and also the western part of India.
- The department is involved in Basic and Advanced clinical research in the field of Endocrine- Oncology and Breast related disorders. The department offers a complete spectrum of clinical and operative services to Breast and Endocrine surgical patients. It is acknowledged as a high quality centre for Complex Thyroid surgeries for large goiters thyroid cancers, Graves disease, Solitary thyroid nodules and more.
- The department also specializes in Parathyroid surgeries for parathyroid tumors, adrenal surgeries for Pheochromocytoma, Conns syndromes, Cushing syndrome, management of Multiple Endocrine neoplasia syndromes, Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumors.
- The department deals with all kinds of Breast disorders- both benign (mastalgia, breast lumps, nipple discharge etc.) and malignant (Breast cancer) specializing in Oncoplastic Breast conservation surgeries and sentinel lymph node biopsy.
