About the Department

The Department of Nephrology at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital had its humble beginnings in 2012. Under the Head of The Department Prof Dr Suraj Godara, the department has grown tremendously, adapting to the advances in treatment and evaluation in the evolving field of Nephrology. The department now caters to various pathologies and complications involving the field of nephrology and renal transplantation.

Dialysis unit is a fully equipped facility with 40 state of the art dialysis machines providing OPD and round the clock emergency dialysis, with around 2500 dialyses done being done every month. ICU dialysis facility is available at any time for critically ill patients. We also have various advanced dialysis and related modalities such as SLED , plasmapheresis(conventional as well as double cascade plasmapheresis ), and CAPD.
