Overview
The department of Oncopathology at the MGUMST is a modern, well-equipped histopathology, hematopathology, and molecular pathology laboratory that diagnoses, stages, and identifies cancer targets while also training and updating technologists and pathologists. Wax dispensers, automated tissue processers, automated stainers, a cryocut machine, and two grossing stations are available in the histology division. It offers Histopathological diagnosis, immunohistochemistry, and frozen section services.
Our Oncopathology department is dedicated to serve all cancer patients, particularly the most vulnerable. It aspires to teach those who will become beacons of hope for cancer patients. This is the mission of the department, and it is working hard to achieve with excellence and humanity. Our achievements are:
- More than 1000 IHC per year
- More than 10000 biopsies (Onco) per year
