The Reproductive Medicine & Surgery department at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital is committed to excellence in comprehensive medical & ethical care of infertile couples through conventional as well as Advanced Reproductive Technology (ART). Starting from infertility treatment to caring for your new born; all facilities are available under one roof at an affordable cost.
Infertility is the inability to conceive after one year of trying. Both men and women have equal likelihood of suffering from infertility. Infertility is also increasingly being linked to increased work stress, hectic and fast paced imbalanced urban lifestyle, environmental toxins and delayed age at marriage.
- Our department was established in February 2016 under the patronage of Dr. M. L. Swarankar, who is pioneer in the field of ART. He is credited with the delivery of first IVF and ICSI baby (in 1989 & 1994 respectively) in Rajasthan & North India. He is also credited the delivery of first IVF – GIFT (1989), first MESA Baby (1993) and first IVF – ROSNI Baby (1999) in North India.
- Our department and allied center (Jaipur Fertility Center) have delivered more than 20,000 IVF/ICSI babies till date. We are doing on average more than 100 IVF Cycles per month.
- The Center possesses a fully equipped OT, Labour Room, NICU, PICU, Embryology Lab with latest equipments and Infertility Wing of International Standards. We work in collaboration with department of Genetics, Advanced Laparoscopy Surgery, Endocrinology and Urology to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
